RIMOWA CELEBRATES THE RE-OPENING OF THE NEWEST BOUTIQUE IN TOKYO / OMOTESANDO
RIMOWA successfully re-opened on 9th/Dec/2023 its renovated boutique in TOKYO / OMOTEASNDO. The new RIMOWA boutique boasts a prime location to offer its iconic designs.
OMOTEDSANDO is one of Tokyo’s most recognizable luxury shopping environment, making TOKYO the leading fashion, lifestyle, and shopping destination in the region. RIMOWA’s newest boutique covers an area of 691 square meters, surrounded by an unmatched collection of the world’s finest luxury brands. RIMOWA is neighboring major luxury brands - Dior, Fendi, and is located across the street from OMOTEASNDO HILLS. We will also enrich client experience by adding an in-store client care center supported by our RIMOWA Artisans.
RIMOWA’s iconic suitcases are exhibited in the boutique’s display window, showcasing the superb craftsmanship and meticulous design of the German Maison. Also, New products, such as the Signature Line will be enlightening the store for the Holiday season.
The boutique's interior incorporates elements of a Japanese garden, adding a uniquely Japanese touch to the brand's signature design. The new boutique is located on the main street leading to Meiji Shrine, one of the largest Shinto shrines in Japan. Since shrines are usually surrounded by bamboo groves, the boutique uses bamboo, the sustainable material for the interior and draws design inspiration from traditional Japanese architectural styles such as shoji screens, tatami mats, and stepping stones. A Japanese paper artist named "Rikuu" will create original lighting for the store.
From grooved aluminum suitcases to iconic daily travel tools, RIMOWA’s offerings are displayed in a gallery-like setting, true to the brand’s highly identifiable minimalist design. Lighting equipment specially designed for the boutique by a Japanese artist gently wraps the interior of the store and featuring the RIMOWA’s iconic collections. The seating area also offers a resting space for customers, making for an enjoyable shopping experience.
